How does the Esteem work?

The Esteem Hearing Implant

The Esteem® is the world's first and only FDA-approved fully implanted active middle ear implant designed to improve the hearing of adults diagnosed with moderate to severe sensorineural hearing loss. The Esteem hearing implant is invisible and offers true 24/7 hearing, removing many limitations of hearing aids. The transducers are covered in cement that osseointegrates with the skull. Watch this short video for a brief demonstration of a patient swimming with the Esteem implant.

CAUTION: Investigational Device - Limited by Federal Law to Investigational Use.
Introducing the Fully Implanted Acclaim® Cochlear Implant
Drawing on our innovative past, Envoy Medical is developing and seeking regulatory approval for a new fully implanted cochlear implant, the Acclaim® cochlear implant.
The Acclaim sensor technology is designed to leverage the natural anatomy of the ear.  In March, 2019, Acclaim received the highly coveted Breakthrough Device Designation status from the FDA.

"The technology [of the Esteem hearing implant] is just amazing. This implant is actually the Cadillac or Lamborghini of all hearing options out there. It’s expensive and it’s technologically much more advanced than everything else out there. It’s not for everyone. It’s for people who really care about the carefree lifestyle and the fact that they don’t have to put on something."

“The Esteem has enabled us to provide a new treatment modality for a population of patients we previously could not help. This is a group of people who simply have not been satisfied with hearing aids and may not be candidates for other devices or procedures”

“I found that patient understanding and realistic expectations are perhaps the most important criteria for successful outcomes. It takes close collaboration and synchronicity with the surgeon, an understanding of the uniqueness of each case, as well as a total commitment to the needs and best interests of each individual patient. As an audiologist, I was both ready for this commitment and eager to be able to change so many lives.”
