Determining MRI Compatability With Your Esteem® Implant

What you need to do to determine if your Esteem device components are MR Conditional for MRI scans under certain conditions.

Before undergoing an MRI scan, patients must inform their physician, nurse, radiologist, or MR technologist about their Esteem implant and indicate its location.

Medical providers can click here for up-to-date MRI Conditional Safety Information or call Envoy Medical directly at 651-361-8000, Option 2.

When scheduling your MRI appointment, make sure to ensure the compatibility of the implanted components of your Esteem device.

Step 1: Verify Compatibility

Review your Esteem implant ID card using the provided table below to ensure the model numbers of your device components on your ID card are MR Conditional.  Implant models must be confirmed for compatibility before the scan.

If you don’t have an Esteem ID card, you can request a replacement. You will receive a new ID card after each Esteem surgery and battery change.

If you are unsure or do not have your Esteem implant ID card, contact Envoy Medical Customer Service at customerservice@envoymedical.com or call us at 800-460-7531.

Implanted components of the Esteem device are MR Conditional under certain conditions ONLY if they have the model numbers listed below.

Component Model number
Driver 7502, 7504, 7510
Sensor 7002, 7004, 7010
Sound Processor 2001

If your ID card shows model numbers not included in the table above, then your device is NOT MR Conditional.  Call Envoy Medical directly at 651-361-8000 and press option 2 for assistance to learn what scans are safe for you to undergo.
