What is an Esteem® Identification Card?

Learn why you should carry your Esteem identification card with you.

The Esteem ID card identifies you as a patient with an implanted hearing device and provides essential information about your implant,  including the model numbers of each component. This information is required when determining whether your device components are MR conditional and compatible with MRI scans under certain conditions.

Upon receiving your Esteem, you will get a patient identification card sent to you and you will receive a new ID card after a battery change procedure.

While rare, it's possible when traveling your Esteem device may set off security devices in airports.  If this happens, simply show your identification card to the security guard.
