Getting Started With the Esteem® Personal Programmer

The Personal Programmer is a remote control used by patients to adjust the volume and profile setting of their Esteem device.

The Esteem personal programmer is provided to patients by their Esteem audiologist the day the device is activated or turned on, and programmed.

Patients can use the programmer to:

• Turn the Esteem device on or off
• Adjust the volume of the incoming sound
• Select between three profiles or programs
• Check for battery depletion

The programmer is powered by 2 AAA alkaline batteries.

The programmer operates via telemetry. To use it, you must hold the programmer up to your head, just over the implanted Sound Processor while pressing the Transmit button.
