Do I Need to Use My Esteem® Personal Programmer?

Once your Esteem implant is activated, you do not need the external programmer to hear or carry it with you every day. However, you will still need to use it periodically to check battery life and turn the device off.

We recommend using your programmer regularly, or at least once per month. Adjusting your settings can enhance your experience in different environments, and regular use helps you monitor your device's battery life, ensuring you are aware of when it needs replacement.

To determine if your Esteem battery is running low, you can either make an appointment with an Esteem-trained audiologist or check it yourself using your personal programmer Click here for instructions

Failing to use the programmer may result in the Esteem battery depleting unexpectedly.
