If you think your battery is depleting contact your Esteem surgical site or Envoy Medical Customer Service at 800-460-7531 for assistance.

Battery performance varies based on:

  • Daily usage
  • Listening Enviroments
  • Program and volume settings

Envoy Medical estimates the battery life of the Esteem® implant in accordance with the appropriate American National Standards Institute technical standard. Based on analytical bench methods, the average battery life is estimated to be approximately 4 .5 years if the Esteem System is left active at all times, and 6 .5 years if the Esteem® System is left active for two thirds of the time, or in low power standby mode for eight hours a day (for example, while sleeping).

*Battery life may be reduced to 2.8 years if continually exposed to very loud sound levels using the highest gain settings.
