John had the dream of flying ever since he was young. After 20 years of being a commercial pilot, a flight manager flying with him noticed he was having hearing issues and told him to see the company doctor. Realizing a hearing aid wasn’t going to help, he retired that day.
“I pretty well thought that I was going to be done flying aircraft in any sort of a controlled environment where you had to talk to controllers - - Well I’d resigned myself to the fact that that’s what I was going to do - then along came Esteem”.
